Wall lights, or girandoles, are among the most fascinating objects of art and history, often associated with the elegance of 18th-century interiors.<\/p>\n

This exceptional and decorative pair of large Regence Baroque-style girandoles originates from the former H\u00f4tel Particulier of Count Potocki. Crafted in gilt bronze with their original gilding, each features seven scrolled candle arms adorned with white opaline faux candles. The girandoles rest on a substantial circular base topped by a baluster stem, and are embellished with cut crystal elements\u2014including large half-pears, beads, and rosettes. The following year, Baccarat developed the press-molded technique.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 1855, Baccarat took part in the first Paris Universal Exhibition, exhibiting two monumental candelabras and a chandelier.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 1860, on October 29, Baccarat registered its trademark with the Paris Commercial Court: a carafe, a stemmed glass and a beaker inscribed in a circle. Initially printed on a paper label, the stamp was later engraved directly onto the piece.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Baccarat crystal is of the highest quality, containing no less than 31.7% lead, with no defaults and the highest standards. Cristallerie de Baccarat has been passed down through the generations and remains a symbol of French art de vivre.<\/p>\n Potocki Mansion (H\u00f4tel Particulier)<\/p>\n Paris Built in the late 19th century for Count F\u00e9lix-Nicolas Potocki and his wife, Countess Emmanuela Potocka, the mansion hosted one of the most celebrated literary salons of the Belle \u00c9poque, attended by figures such as Maupassant.<\/p>\n Its splendid neoclassical fa\u00e7ade, adorned with Ionic columns, sets the tone for the opulence within.
