This games table exemplifies why we are passionate about our work as antique dealers. Discovering such a unique and refined piece brings immense joy and will delight any collector.

Provenance de par les blasons : Région de Bourg en Bresse.

Originating from the Bourg-en-Bresse region, as indicated by the coats of arms, this exceptional and elegant games table is crafted from darkened fruitwood. The Tric-Trac section features marquetry in Kingwood, boxwood, and stained sycamore, while the reversible top showcases two magnificent trompe l'oeil paintings: one depicting a chessboard within a Bérain-style frame adorned with crayfish and a coat of arms, and the other featuring a checkers game surrounded by geometric patterns, birds, and butterflies.

Our games table is complete with its tokens, leather dice cups, and small candlesticks.

Dimensions:

Height: 28.54 inches.

Length: 37.8 inches.

Depth: 24.4 inches.

Condition: In very good original condition. The top was entrusted to our painting restorer, Madame Anais Peubez, with the decision to preserve as much of the original state as possible. This approach explains the variation in the treatment of the blacks.
