Serge Belloni, known as "The Painter of Paris," dedicated his oeuvre to capturing the eternal essence of Paris and Venice. Regardless of the season or weather, he masterfully depicted the myriad facets of the City of Light and the City of Doges.

This beautiful painting depicts an elegant bouquet of roses arranged in a Delft faience vase, all set against a gold leaf background.

This piece was exhibited at the Serge Belloni exhibition in 1974 at l’Orangerie du Luxembourg à Paris.

Biography:

Born in Italy in 1925, Serge Belloni settled in Paris in 1933. He studied at the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts and held his first exhibition at the age of 21. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to painting, working every day, in all weather, to capture the essence of Paris.

His travels to Holland allowed him to master the techniques of the Flemish masters, which he perfected throughout his career. His works are present in prestigious collections around the world, from Paris to New York, via Milan and Moscow.
