Rare Pair of Delft Faience Plates with Floral Decor, Marked by De Vergulde Bloempot, c. 1740–1760

This rare pair of tin-glazed Delft faience plates features a deep blue monochrome floral design, centered on a large vase with a bouquet of flowers, foliage, and insects.

Marked with the monogram B P, these plates exemplify the exceptional craftsmanship of Delft faience factories in the mid-18th century, between 1740 and 1760. Their style and quality closely resemble a pair held in the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Delft faience and ceramics collection.

Exceptional work by the De Vergulde Bloempot ("The Gilded Flower Pot") factory, c. 1740–1760.
