Pair of large Pampres and Passementerie sconces in chiseled and gilded bronze after Quentin-Claude Pitoin

 

Inspired by a model by Quentin-Claude Pitoin (1725-1777), who produced a set of four of three-light kept in the collection of the Nissim de Camondo Museum.

 

A magnificent pair of chiseled ormolu sconces with two arms decorated with ribbon bows, foliage, pampers and braids.

 

Our Louis XVI-style sconces were manufactured circa 1850-1870.

Bears an M bronzier's mark (research in progress).

 

Sizes: Total height with opaline 27.55 In. - Height 22.83 In. - Wide 11.81 In. - Deep 7.08 In.

Our pair of sconces is in fine condition, in their original gilding.
