A Fine Pair of Large Louis XIV-Style Gilt Bronze and Cut-Crystal Girandoles, c. 1800–1830

This elegant pair of Louis XIV-style girandoles is distinguished by finely chiseled bronze and original gilding. Each features nine candle arms resting on a circular base adorned with Berain-inspired motifs, shells, and acanthus leaves. Their cut-crystal decoration—white and lightly smoked—includes stars, rosettes, and large plaques, crowned by a pyramidal crystal dagger finial.

A fine example of French craftsmanship, these girandoles date from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, circa 1800–1830.
